Program Description:

Through this five-week program, students learn to do video production using Italian sites for their background. One of the great advantages of this program is that "home base" is Macerata: a scenic medieval hill town with a 15th Century wall. The class takes 3-day excursions to Rome and Florence, but the majority of the time is spent in an "authentic" setting, where there aren't many tourists. Students will experience true Italian life. In addition, there are two 3-day weekends built into the program so students can plan excursions of their own where they can choose to visit other Italian locations, or relax on the Adriatic beach just a 30-minute train ride away. Classes meet in an 18th Century building with a fresco on the ceiling! Students will work individually and collaboratively to produce tourism videos.
