KIIS Italy Winter Program

Italy Winter Break BSU

Program Description:

The KIIS winter program in Italy is an eleven-day program that begins in the country’s magnificent capital, Rome and ends in the beautiful Tuscan city of Florence. Students spend the first five days in Rome where students visit and explore the Vatican, Colosseum, famous churches, and other memorable monuments. The program will then move to Florence where students are living within walking distance of the most famous museums and sites in Italy’s Renaissance capital. Courses are designed to integrate classroom learning with cultural excursions to museums, art galleries, and ancient ruins.

Please Note: No Italian is required for this program (all instruction is in English).

Coursework/Credit(s):
Students select 3 credits from the menu of KIIS offerings listed on the KIIS program website: https://www.kiis.org/programs/italy-winter/

Course syllabi are available for download from the link above.

For information on how BSU study abroad transfer credit works for this program, visit the “Academic Credit” tab on the study abroad website. While it is not required, we strongly urge you to explore credit transfer approvals before financially committing to a program.

Estimated Cost:
  • $2,890 KIIS Program Fee
  • Round Trip Airfare (KIIS group flights available)
  • $350 BSU Study Abroad Fee
If students are not taking spring coursework they may be assessed an additional BSU Technology fee ($110) based on credit load

For more details on the total cost of participation, including expenses not included in the program fee, download an estimated cost of attendance worksheet here:
